About UCSF Global Programs Tanzania: The UCSF Global Programs (GP) office in Tanzania enhances HIV/TB strategic information systems and fosters local capacity to support evidence-based decision-making. This work is achieved in collaboration with partners such as the CDC and the Ministry of Health (MoH).

My Role: As a Health Information System Software Developer & Data Visualization Analyst, I contributed to the development and maintenance of key health systems, such as:

  • Lab Visual System: Empowered PCR laboratories to analyze sample data and improve reporting to the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders.
  • Power BI Dashboards: Designed dashboards for projects like DREAMS and Weekly Performance Tracking (WPT), enabling actionable insights into health indicators for data-driven decisions.
  • Digital Tanzania CQI System: Maintained and enhanced CQI tool to support the tracking and monitoring of health indicators.

Additionally, I provided user training and ongoing support, building local expertise and ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of these health information systems.

The UDSM & CRDB FinHub Incubator is an innovation hub that fosters skill development and problem-solving in the financial sector. In collaboration with CRDB Bank, the TCMS project identifies talents, offers mentorship, and builds capacity to address fintech challenges for CRDB and other partners.

As part of the team, I contributed to developing a working prototype for an innovative idea aimed at reducing customer service time in banks using Electronic Cheques (E-Cheque). This initiative supports the growth and development of the financial sector in Tanzania and beyond.

Through this program, I provided training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to bridge the gender gap in the ICT sector. The focus was on equipping students with Human-Centered Design skills and inspiring them to pursue careers in ICT.
