The Global Programs (GP) Office in Tanzania provides targeted HIV/TB strategic information (SI) technical assistance through the PEPFAR-funded Strategic Information for Quality HIV Implementation and Learning consortium (SIQHIL). The GP office also facilitates the expanded presence and operations for global health professionals and researchers from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and its affiliates in Tanzania. We work in collaboration with key partners including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), PEPFAR, the Ministry of Health (MoH), the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP), the Zanzibar HIV, Hepatitis, TB, and Leprosy Programme (ZIHHTLP), other donors, and local partners to build capacity, and to validate and strengthen SI activities to effectively guide prevention and treatment programs toward maximum impact Read more about UCSF - Global Programs.

UDSM & CRDB FinHub Incubator

The UDSM & CRDB Fin Hub Incubator is a challenge-driven innovation space that provides a platform for young people to develop skills and solve challenges in the financial sector. The TCMS project, run in collaboration with CRDB Bank, identifies talents, provides mentorship, and builds capacity to address fintech challenges in CRDB Bank and other partners. The project creates a pipeline of talent that can be onboarded to the financial sector, contributing to its growth and development in Tanzania and beyond. As a team, we developed a working prototype of an innovative idea that aims at reducing customer service time at the bank through the use of Electronic Cheques (E-Cheque). Read more about FINHUB.

As a trainer at Feza Girls Secondary School, I am excited to introduce the students to the "Smart Girls in ICT" program initiated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). This program is specifically designed to encourage young girls and women to participate in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry. Through the program, I provided training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to the students so as to bridge the gender gap in the ICT sector. The project's goal was to inspire and encourage girls to pursue careers in ICT and provide them with the Human Centered Design skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this field. Read more.
